ITINERARY
Depart for the pier for a river cruise on the Klongs, the canals that make Bangkok nicknamed the Venice of Southeast Asia. You will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and explore an authentic way of life in houses on stilts.
Then visit the Royal Palace built in a hybrid style, half-Eastern, half-Western where you can see the magnificent temple of the Emerald Buddha, then visit the temple of Wat Pho famous for its reclining Buddha.
Return to the hotel. Overnight in Bangkok
After breakfast, you go to the floating market of Damnoen Saduak. You go back in time to another era, when trade was done from boat to boat along the klongs, especially in Bangkok.
Continuation to Kanchanaburi, lunch then discovery of the famous Kwai River and its bridge, the construction of which cost the lives of thousands of Thais.
You visit the war museum, called JEATH (Japan, England, America/Australia, Thailand, Holland) in memory of the countries which lost theirs during the 2nd World War with the word DEATH, recalling the tragic history attached to this place.
Overnight in hotel in Bangkok
After breakfast, today we visit Erawan National Park, with its famous Erawan waterfalls which served as the setting for the film “The Beach”. These particularly impressive waterfalls during the rainy season allow most of the time to swim in peace.
Lunch in local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the ancient capital Ayuthaya of the Kings of Siam, founded in 1350 and partly razed by the Burmese in 1776. Visit the historic site and the main temples.

Our first visit is to the most well respected site of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, which includes the Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Museum.
We continue on with a short drive to visit the 11th Century Temple of Literature, Hanoi’s first University.
After lunch we visit the very interesting Ethnology Museum. Here you will learn of the traditional cultures of 54 different ethnic minority groups in Vietnam through articles, stories, displays of traditional houses, costumes, hunting equipment and much more wares used in day to day life.
Returning to the center of Hanoi, we finish our day with a ‘mind blowing’ and most unforgettable ‘Xich Lo’ ride through the charming 36 Street Old Quarter and introduce you to the hustle and bustle of the city streets, discovering the real Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast at hotel, driver picks up and transfer to Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea”.
Upon arrival, the boat crew welcome you and check in then enjoy a cruise around Halong Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. You can also behold thousands of limestone islands and grottoes rising from the clear, emerald water.
Following break, depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you’ll join some activities on boat to discover the beauty of the bay such as visit a cave, doing kayaking or enjoy swimming in the sea before getting back to the junk for relaxing and dinner.
Overnight on board
You’ll wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. You will have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Then you will drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight at your hotel.
Enjoy breakfast at hotel, then you will take flight from Hanoi to Nha Trang. Nha Trang has islands where you can snorkel and scuba dive in search of tropical fish and coral. The city’s hotels and resorts have rejuvenating mud baths and a remarkably robust nightlife scene as well.
Overnight in Nha Trang
After breakfast, you will be transfer to Da Nang airport to take the flight to Ho Chi Minh city.
Up on arrrival to Ho Chi Minh city, you will be pickup and transfer to hotel for check in.
In the afternoon you have the option of a private city tour of famous landmarks like the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Reunification Palace, or traveling out of town to see the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, where thousands of Vietnam soldiers lived during the Vietnam War. In the evening, head to a trendy restaurant or cocktail bar, or try street food near central Ben Thanh Market.
Overnight in hotel in Ho Chi Minh
In the morning, tour guide and driver come to pick up for depart to Can Gio. Arrive in Can Gio after 1.5hours driving Upon arrival, taking a boat or canoe to visit the Vam Sat Salt-Marsh Forest Ecological Tourist Zone which contains most beautiful forests of Can Gio which is one of the world’s Salt-Marsh biosphere preserve. Historically, this land had been damaged by toxic chemicals that turned the zone into an uninhabited land. Thanks to the hard work of people, the forest has gradually recovered, and its beauty and magnificence feature have been returned. Winning over the TangvBong tower with 25m height to have an over-view of all the landscapes of Can Gio mangrove forest. Fishing crocodiles cruise is also a breath-taking activity included in this trip.
Arrive Monkey Island, visiting Can Gio Museum. The exhibits show the biodiversity of the mangrove forest and introduce the heroes who fought for independence and their battles. Visiting Mangrove Forest Park Fauna Conservation: saltwater crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, deer, and more than 1000 wild monkeys, which love to play with people. On Saturday, Sunday we can see the performance of monkey.
Come back to hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
After breakfast, pick up by bus company and take shuttle bus to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap bus station, meet our guide and transfer to hotel for check-in. We will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village” move from place to place following water levels and current. Dinner with Apsara Dance show at local restaurant. For those travelers thirsting for cultural highlights of Cambodia, no visit to Cambodia is complete without attending at least one traditional Khmer dance performance, often referred to as ‘Apsara Dance’ after one of the most popular Classical dance pieces. Traditional Khmer dance better described as ‘dance-drama’ in that the dances are not merely dance but also meant to convey a story or message. Overnight in Siem Reap.

We really enjoyed visiting Halong Bay, that’s wonderful. Vietnamese people were very friendly and the food on the tour was delicious. We will comeback soon and book a tour through AFS Travel again. Recommend everyone should bring clothes, sunglasses, sun cream,… because Thailand is very sunny
