ITINERARY
In the morning of 2nd day, we will begin the culinary experience with a one-day food tour in Hanoi. Our guide of Vietnam Culinary tours will meet you at the hotel and take you for breakfast with the authentic Pho in Hanoi city is Pho Bo, which means Beef Noodle Soup. Hanoi is considered to be the best place in Vietnam for having Pho. After enjoying the best Pho in Hanoi as the local, our guide will take you to Café Giang to enjoy Egg Coffee – the unique drink that you just can find in Hanoi city.
After that, you can take the enjoyable and interesting ride on Cyclo to stroll along the narrow street in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. You can find all the popular material, vegetable, herb and spices for regular meals of Hanoi people as well as enjoy the way local people go shopping in the Vietnam market. For lunch in Vietnam culinary tours, you have chance to try two very typical and authentic dishes of Hanoi: Banh Cuon and Bun Cha. You should know that Banh Cuon is a kind of thin steam pancake made from rice flour rolled with minced chicken or pork with mushroom and shallots inside. After breakfast, our new experience for the Vietnam food tours is biking to cooking class. Move to garage together. After short briefing about the bike, gears and the biking trail, you will begin your adventure in Vietnam. Biking across to Long Bien bridge – the oldest bridge in Hanoi built by French in the colonial time, the reunion train track where local residents live only one meter from it- for a cooking class present at a traditional homestay in the countryside of Hanoi.
The cooking class first start at Ngoc Thuy market – a vibrant and authentic local wet market. Introduction of shopping habit of Vietnamese people and briefing about the schedule of the cooking class. Start to visit the shopping area of alive chicken; fish and buy all ingredients for the cooking class’ menu. Guests are free to taste some local breakfast (Banh cuon, Pho bo and Fruits). From 10h30- 12h30, we start cooking 4 main dishes of a traditional meal. It’s then lunch time with chef and/or with homestay owner.
After lunch, we will visit the oldest pottery Bat Trang village by foot and stop for visiting any local craftsmen. That is the chance you can photo or communicate with craftmen to discover the way they make the pottery by hands. After learning, you can make your own pottery in the craftsmen workshop with a few minutes waiting you can take your own made away. They will wrap by hubble paper and you can take by hand very easily.
Transfer back to your hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
Our tour guide will come and pick you up after your breakfast at hotel. You will start with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you can visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the corpse of Uncle Ho kept there. Next you will visit the Presidential Palace – a nice French architecture in the garden and Ho Chi Minh House on stilt. You will see the simple life of Ho Chi Minh – the president in Vietnamese’s spirit forever. You will finish this area with One Pillar Pagoda – one of the most memorable attractions in Hanoi you cannot miss with the special in architecture.
Having lunch and you then continue to the Temple of Literature – The first University of Vietnam. Afternoon, drive to Noi Bai Airport for the flight to Hue. Upon arrival, drive and check in your hotel in Hue.

To start our new day of food tours in Vietnam, you take a walk on Trang Tien Bridge to visit Dong Ba – the biggest whole sales market in town. This is the best time to visit the market during the day. After taking the interesting walk in the market, you will have a chance to try the authentic local breakfast in Hue, named Bun Bo nearby the market before coming back to hotel. The regular breakfast is still available for you at the hotel. From the hotel, we will then take a trip to the area around the ancient citadel of Hue. Stop at Noon gate of Imperial Citadel for the walking tour to the inner area of the citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Next, we will take you to visit the shop of Me Xung Thien Huong – that will show you all the typical local candy and cookie in Hue. At noon, visit Dong Thien Pagoda then experience the vegetarian lunch prepared by the nun. You also visit Tu Duc Tomb to discover beautiful and impressive architecture of this unique construction in Hue as well as the story of the King. Back to the town, we will try very the very well-known Hue Cake name Banh Khoai Thuong Tu at the local restaurant near the citadel – the best one in Hue. The afternoon, you will Che Hue (Hue Sweet Soup). Staying overnight in Hue.
Morning visiting start with Thien Mu pagoda – the symbol of Hue city before taking a walk around Kim Long Village to explore the original ancient house of the former mandarin, mingle with local people and experience their daily activities in the village.
After that, depart to Danang through the famous Hai Van Pass. Upon arrival, you will visit Cham Museum with the great collection of sandstone artifact from 4th to 13th century then enjoy lunch at Apsara Restaurant.
Drive to Hoi An, the little attractive town very famous as a living museum which was originally one of major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Check in your hotel in Hoi An. In the evening, take the orientation in ancient town of Hoi An and stay overnight in Hoi An.
On the 7th day of food tour Vietnam, you will have breakfast at your hotel, start the day with Cam Thanh fishing village, learn about the traditional fishing techniques and how to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war.
You then continue a trip around the Tra Que vegetable garden and join with the farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing with seaweed from the local lake. Doing some next steps such as: raking the ground, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities and enjoying your lunch with many local delicacies including ”tam huu” spring roll, ‘banh xeo’ or local pancake of people in middle region.
In the food tour Hoian, you will be enthusiastically welcomed by the local people for visiting the creeks in the water coconut woods by basket boats. You will be instructed to fish crabs and see the performances of rowing basket boats by the local rowers.
Transfer back to your hotel and have free time to explore the old town in the evening. Staying overnight in Hoi An.
