ITINERARY
A morning starts with your guide and driver to visit Cu Chi Tunnels – a historical site marks our heroic success in American War. At Cu Chi, visit the Military Museum before driving through the former Cu Chi base camp, the Headquarters of the 25th Division. Then take a visit to the VC’s underground tunnels and the Cu Chi Military Cemetery. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at Pho Co restaurant. Afternoon, we will take a city tour around Ho Chi Minh City including Notre Dame Catholic Church, City Hall, Reunification Palace – once served as the head quarter of Saigon administration, War Remnant Museum and Thien Hau Pagoda. Enjoy a short visit to Ben Thanh central market and back to the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Leave the busy streets and modern buildings of Ho Chi Minh City behind on this Ben Tre Day trip. Drive 2-hours south of the city to this land of coconut in Mekong Delta. On arrival in Ben Tre Province, board a local boat for a first glimpse of life inside the Mekong Delta’s maze of waterways, fertile green terrain and its family-run cottage industries such as coconut candy making. See many local women spend their days boiling cauldrons of the sticky coconut goo before rolling it out and slicing sections into squares. The hand-rowed sampan journey under the shadow of the water coconut trees is always a not to be missed part. The riverside promenade and the narrow lanes on both sides of the river are ideal for two-wheeled exploration if preferred. Then we cruise back to the pier and disembark for a drive to Can Tho. Your guide will assist with check into hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the resort amenities. Overnight in Can Tho.
Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we have breakfast and start our day with a boat cruise along the seemingly endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River. We arrived at Cai Rang floating market, the biggest and most famous floating market in the Mekong Delta. View hundreds of boats which are packed with mango, bananas, papaya and pineapple… all for selling, buying and exchanging. We visit the lush orchards and are treated to delicious tropical fruits. After having lunch at a highly recommended local restaurant, we drive back to Saigon. On the way, we drop a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda – an ancient southern architectural gem. The pagoda is located in My Phong Commune, 3km from the city center and was built in 1849 by a Buddhist monk named Hue Dang using funds collected from practitioners. The religious site was seriously damaged by French colonists in 1861 and a severe storm in 1904. On both occasions, practitioners restored the pagoda to its original splendor. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport and fly to Da Nang. You will be picked up by our driver at Da Nang airport and then transfer to your hotel in Hoi An Old Town. After the check-in procedure, it’s time to explore Hoi An. You will visit a couple of fascinating sites such as the Chinese Embassy Halls, the Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda & Tan Ky House.
