ITINERARY
You will be met by our tour guide this morning at around 7:00 am, for an exhilarating 3 days of Culture, Culture and more Culture! Our journey to Mai Chau, takes around 3 hours. We drive through spectacular countryside’s full of rice fields, observing farmers at work, and small villages providing us plenty of opportunities to stop and capture some amazing photos along the way. Be sure to keep an eye out for the amazing things the locals load onto their motorbikes!! Today we have the great privilege to be spending our night at a local family’s home and experiencing the ‘true village life’ of minority groups. Upon arrival, where the village is eagerly awaiting our arrival with gleaming smiles and waves galore, we are welcomed by the village. Soaking up the tranquil ambience that surrounds us, we listen to stories and history of the village, whilst the family busily prepares us a delicious home cooked lunch. After lunch and a relax, we drive about 40 minutes to Xa Linh where we commence our trekking day to Hang Kia, a small and scenic valley, which is home to a group of Flower H’mong minority people. Our trek today follows the road on which H’Mong people from Hang Kia mainly use to go to the town or go to market, which is more than 10km long, passing by small remote Cha Lay village en route. On the way, we have chance to interact local people and experience their activities before arriving to our home stay. We check in house on stilt of H’Mong people where we will stay overnight. Relaxing before the dinner served at 18:30. Free at leisure and overnight at local house.
Awakening to the ‘H’Mong melodies’, we enjoy a wonderful home-cooked breakfast before bidding farewell to our hosts for our trekking to Van village. Be sure to keep an eye for the amazing scenery with mountains, terraces and expansive valley. On route, we will stop for rest taking as well as photo capturing. After 12km trekking, we stop at Cun Kheo village for a rest and lunch in a local house before continuing on to reach Van Village, a beautiful village of White Thai minority people. After a long day of trekking, we will rest our feet with a wonderful herbal foot bath before having dinner and enjoying traditional music and dance show, performed by the locals from surrounding. Overnight at your home stay
After enjoying the breakfast prepared by our hosts, we continue to trek to Xam Khoe village, passing Bang, Buoc and Muoi village on the way (around 2 hours). From Xam Khoe village, our van will take us back to Lac village in Mai Chau town for a rest, relaxation in comfort and of course, our lunch. After lunch, we bid our host farewell for our return journey to Hanoi. Trip ends.
