ITINERARY
After a morning cyclo ride from your hotel, you’ll be treated to a hands-on cooking class where you will learn about the art of traditional Vietnamese cuisine from the locals in the Old Quarter. You’ll visit the lively local Market before donning a chef’s uniform for the demonstration. You will learn how to make a number of regional delicacies, which may include everything from Banana Flower Salad to spring rolls to Com Rang, and more. After a half-day morning session, you’ll enjoy a delicious feast that YOU created! You’ll get to take a copy of the recipes home with you. After breakfast at hotel, driver picks up and transfer to Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea”. Upon arrival, the boat crew welcome you and check in then enjoy a cruise around Halong Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. You can also behold thousands of limestone islands and grottoes rising from the clear, emerald water. Following break, depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you’ll join some activities on boat to discover the beauty of the bay such as visit a cave, doing kayaking or enjoy swimming in the sea before getting back to the junk for relaxing and dinner. You’ll wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day. You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay and after breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. You will have a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Then you will drive back to Hanoi. Overnight at your hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel then depart to Ninh Binh city to visit Bai Dinh and Trang An (around 98 kms from Hanoi). On the way, you will have chance to take the outlook of Vietnam rice fields with the hard-working farmers doing their working in the large rice fields. Visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, the large pagoda with more than 500 La Han statues, where you can find the biggest Buddha statue made in bronze with 10 meters height, 100 tons in weight. Lunch in local restaurant with Vietnamese food. In the afternoon, visit Trang An. Upon on arrival, take the boat trip around Trang An to visit cave complex (Sang cave, Toi cave, Ba Giot cave, Nau Ruou cave) all caves are in mystery and wildness, you also have chance to admire the beautiful scenery of mountain and river of the popular countryside in Vietnam. Ride a bike to Tra Que Herb village, be a farmer! Our guide welcomes you at your hotel and starts to make a bicycle trip to the countryside of Hoi An Town. Arrive at Tra Que Organic village, you have a walk through and visit the garden where local farmers work on their farm and use the traditional methods without having electrical machines support. Next, you are under the instruction of household; he will show you how to prepare and make the land, you fertilize green manure before growing vegetables. Watering the vegetables, which you have just grown, is the last activity in the procedure of planting them. After that, you pick fresh saw-tooth coriander and Vietnamese mint for your cooking lesson later. You have about 20 minutes to relax by soaking your feet in Vietnamese herbs. This is one of the ways to refresh yourself after the hard time in garden. Then you can join with the family chef and learn the traditional ways in preparing and cooking local Vietnamese dishes. Breakfast in hotel, your tour guide meet at your hotel, transfer to Hue city. On arrival, we board on a private boat for cruising on the romantic Perfume River. This time we head out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to some of these tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. From here you will take a drive to visit King Minh Mang’s tomb & King Tu Duc tomb. Overnight in Hue .
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel. This morning we will have a private city touring HCMC, visit Chinatown, the Thien Hau Pagoda, the Reunification Palace, the Opera House and War Remnants Museum. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon we have an excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s. The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the U.S.-Vietnam War in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from Saigon. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life during the war must have been like. Overnight in HCMC
After breakfast, you will transfer to Cai Be, before going to the central of Cai Be market, the car stops at Cai Be Cao Dai Oratories, which is the religious symbol of local uniqueness. Then the visitors are picked up by the tourist boats to visit the floating market of rice in An Cu commune, Cai Be district – where is the rice trade largest exporter Southwest region of Vietnam, tourists will chat to learn more about daily life of the trader. The next destinations are the ancient village of Dong Hoa Hiep commune and Cai Be floating market. Leaving the floating market, tourist boats take visitors to Tan Phong islet and go to Hai Yen bee farm Here, guests will visit big flower garden where bees produce honey , ẹnjoy fresh honey tea and understand more about bees life, visit Linhzhi mushroom area, try to pulling fish hooves, experience the monkey bridges. Then, guests continue visiting the orchard of Ms. Hang and enjoy the fruits in the garden picked by themselves , listening to Vietnamese folk music then getting in a rowing boat to a small canal .The Mekong Eco restaurant is the next destination guests arrive to Mekong Ecolodge and participate in cooking and having lunch. After having lunch, guests cycle to Ms Ba’s house to learn how to make the ricepaper which used to make the sping roll dishes. Then, the passengers continue going to Ms. Sau’s house to see the method to knit the banana hammock from the rope of dry banana leaves. After that, the tourists will visit Ms Muoi- a very old woman- to see the method to make the nipa leaves that can be the roof of Vietnamese house. Say goodbye to Ms Muoi, visitors cycle to Thao’s house to know how to knit water hyacinth, guests can also enjoy their first handmade lovely gift with the guidance of Ms. Thao. Finally, tourists come back to Mekong Ecolodge to take a rest. At around 4.30 p.m: Guests have an opportunity to experience the Hiep Duc ferry boat with the local people to go through Tien River and the car will pick guests up in the opposite side, get on car and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city Overnight in hotel in HCMC
