Bamboo Airways has just signed a cooperation agreement on participating in the Environmental Assessment Program initiated by IATA (IEnvA) with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Bamboo Airways’ signing activities took place within the framework of the 78th Annual General Meeting and the World Air Transport Conference – a major event of the aviation industry that brings together leaders from nearly 300 member airlines of IATA. , along with many high-ranking officials and aviation service providers.
One of the top topics of interest at the congress is reducing carbon emissions to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. This is also the commitment of Vietnam and 150 countries at the 26th Conference of the Parties. Participating in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), with the goal of contributing to the joint effort to keep the Earth’s temperature from rising above 1.5 degrees Celsius and prevent global warming.
IEnvA is a program designed according to a common system of standards for independent assessment to improve the environmental management of an airline. The phased IEnvA blueprints will be the foundation for the airline to move towards sustainability in all its air and ground operations.
Bamboo Airways is the first airline in Vietnam to pioneer in implementing this prestigious environmental assessment program, applying the standards of IEnvA in aircraft operation, maintenance and operation, and service provision. onboard, as well as participate in personnel training activities and use consulting services related to environmental impact assessment provided by IATA.
