HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS – MY THO – HA NOI – HA LONG BAY 6D5N

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, your tour guide and driver welcome you and transfer to the city and have dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, we take one and half hour to Cu Chi tunnels, visit the tunnels system of more than 200km in length which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the war against American troops.

Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch. After lunch, visit Presidential Palace, the Hundred Years Red Cathedral (Notre Dame Cathedral) and Ben Thanh market for shopping. We have dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, a two-hour drive to My Tho will expose the colorful outskirt life as well as picturesque rice fields along the journey.

Upon arrival, get on a boat trip up Mekong River with islet stop at Thoi Son to taste seasonal fruits, enjoy traditional folk songs.

Then, visit the authentic life of the local and challenge your bargaining power at cottage handicraft shops. An adventurous sampan ride in palm shading creeks will be the next experience of the riverside region.

Lunch to be served with the Mekong Delta specialty – Deep fried Elephant Ear Fish.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Dinner will be served on Saigon River Cruise with entertainment show along the Saigon River at the end of the day.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at hotel, free at your leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for flight to Hanoi.

Arrival Hanoi, check in hotel then ready for the tour takes you around Hanoi’s highlights, visit the first national university – The Temple of Literature, that dates back to the 11th century. Then head to Hoan Kiem Lake, 36 ancient streets (Hanoi Old quarter), Dong Xuan market and shopping. Dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Depart from your hotel for the journey East of Hanoi (approximately 2,5 hours) to Halong City, the gateway to Halong Bay. En route you will pass fields of busy workers farming their rice fields using traditional methods of cultivation.

Upon arrival, board a traditional junk and set sail around this magnificent bay and among thousands islands that jut out of the sea with its spectacular natural environment while lunch is served.

You also have the opportunity to stop visiting one of the many grottoes. We then continue cruise to the southern part of the Bay, where we will admire view of many strange-shaped islands, visit floating village of the local fishermen and do kayaking to further remote area of the bay. Continue sailing back to Halong wharf, get on car and return to Hanoi.

Transfer back to Hanoi. Dinner in local restaurant.

After breakfast, free at your leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight. Trip ends.
